The 83rd NFL draf of 2018

The 83rd NFL draft of 2018 was held at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 28th. The National Football League franchises met to select players eligible for the 2018 season.

The draft came with a few surprises; the first-round pick saw five quarterbacks selected, this has only happened thrice since the draft began. The quarterbacks picked are:

  • Baker Mayfield drafted by the Cleveland Browns
  • Sam Darnold went to the Jets
  • Josh Allen went to the Buffalo Bills
  • Josh Rosen went to the Arizona Cardinals
  • Lamar Jackson went to the Baltimore Ravens

The other surprise was the drafting of siblings Tremaine Edmunds and Terrell Edmunds to the NFL in round one pick. This was the first time two brothers were picked in the first-round pick of an NFL draft.

The occasion was filled with fans’ hopes that their teams could add better players to their rosters. Players who would help the teams get to a higher level in the league. As much as it was exciting for the fans, it was more so for the players featuring in the selection, as they were beginning a football journey that they had been preparing for, one that will take them to unbelievable heights.
