NFL Draft 2018

The 83rd annual NFL Draft took place between the 26th and 28th April 2018. For the first time, it was organised within an NFL stadium and also for the first time, it was played out in Texas. Scouts from all over the country were present to scoop up the talent for their teams, and already in the first round, 5 quarterbacks were drafted.

Hot Drafts

Saquon Barkley will be joining the Giants and he is expected to be a great asset, both as a runner and a receiver. The drafting of Denzel Ward by Browns, meanwhile, has been quite a surprise, especially with Bradley Chubb still available at the time. As a cornerback, however, he is expected to give the team a much need reinforcement in a critical position.

Quenton Nelson has been given the offensive position at Colts and with good reason. The player is so talented that he is already expected to end up in the hall of fame. Less obvious was the choice of Roquan Smith by the Chicago Bears. The team, which has been raising its game in the past seasons will benefit greatly from Smith’s leadership role.

The Chargers are certainly proud of their selection, Derwin James, as a defender with ample talent and potential. A previous top-10 player turned out to be a steal in this year’s NFL Draft.
