Schefter Hyping Another Broncos Move?

Adam Schefter, who spent a considerable amount of time covering the Denver Broncos before hitting the big time with the NFL Network, reports the Broncos signing of TE Daniel Graham with the following:

"Tuesday, March 6

Denver reached an agreement Tuesday night with TE Daniel Graham on a five-year, $30 million contract that includes $15 million guaranteed. The deal makes Graham the highest-paid tight end in the NFL."

The only problem with this report is that Tony Gonzalez signed a 5-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs that was worth $31.75M and included $17.5M in guaranteed money. I wasn't always the best math student, but it appears Gonzalez's contract is richer than Graham's.

Earlier this season, the Oakland Raiders downplayed a Schefter report that the Raiders were set to fire head coach Art Shell, referring to Schefter as a "false rumor monger with respect to the Raiders and anti-Raider based on his relationship with Denver and Mike Shanahan."

I'm not saying that Al Davis & Co. are right, but this could be a clear example of Schefter over-hyping a signing by the same Denver Broncos he's already accused of catering to.
