At that age, it's a perfectly normal and acceptable behavior that the kid will likely grow out of.
However, what can you say about Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl safety Roy Williams, who publicly admits that there are times he doesn't want the ball thrown his way.
"I will admit that at times, when I had one-on-one situations and you're head up on a tight end or a receiver that can go left or right, it's tough," he said. "I mean, it's just tough. Sometimes you just hope they don't throw the ball your way, because sometimes you're like, if they go inside, you don't have any help; if they go outside, you don't have any help.
"That's why corners get paid the big bucks."
Williams signed a 4-year, $25.2 million dollar contract less than two years ago, and for reasons I'll never understand, has been selected to play in five straight Pro Bowls.
Yet, he doesn't want the ball thrown his way.
Don't worry, Roy. Since Dallas now takes you off the field on passing downs, you won't have to worry about the ball coming your way as much anymore. And those trips to Hawaii you've become accustomed to each February? The burden for those expenses will now be yours.
