Frank Hughes of the Tacoma News Tribune has some preliminary contract numbers on the new 6-year, $50.2 million dollar contract that Marcus Trufant will sign today.
The contract breaks down thusly:
$10 million dollar signing bonus.
$7 million dollar roster bonus in 2009.
$3 million dollar roster bonus in 2010.
Trufant's base salaries from 2008-2010 are $1M (2008), $1M (2009) and $5.7M (2010). Trufant also has $100K workout bonuses, which pushes the three-year total to $28 million dollars.
Trufant's cap numbers are (roughly):
2008: $2.767M ($1M base + $1.667M proration of signing bonus + $100K workout bonus)
2009: $9.767M ($1M base + $1.667M proration of signing bonus + $7M roster bonus + $100K workout bonus)
2010: $8.467M ($1M base + $1.667M proration of signing bonus + $3M roster bonus + $100K workout bonus)

Seahawks, Trufant Agree on Long-Term Deal
According to www.profootballtalk.com, the Seattle Seahawks have signed franchised cornerback Marcus Trufant to a six-year, $50.2M contract extension.
The deal reportedly includes $20 million in guaranteed money, and $28 million over the first three years of the deal.
