NFLPA records indicate that New Orleans Saints cornerback Patrick Robinson changed agents recently, replacing Kevin Conner of Atlanta-based Universal Sports & Entertainment with Peter Schaffer of Denver-based Authentic Athletix.
Conner negotiated Robinson's five-year rookie contract which has a base value of $9.352 million and could be worth as much as $12.352. Robinson's deal included $6.597 million in guaranteed money and has three years and $3.6295 million remaining, including a $540,000 base salary and $1.267 million roster bonus (which is being treated like a signing bonus for salary cap purposes) in 2012.
Selected with the 32nd overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Robinson started just four of 11 games as a rookie, totaling 28 tackles while playing in less the 30 percent of the defensive snaps. Last season, Robinson started seven of 15 games and played in nearly 70 percent of the snaps, establishing career-highs with 47 tackles, a team-high four interceptions and had 15 passes defensed, which was second on the club.
