Redskins Agree To Terms With LB Bryan Kehl

The Washington Redskins announced that they have agreed to terms on a contract with free agent linebacker Bryan Kehl.

Terms of his contract were not disclosed.

A 2008 fourth round pick out of BYU by the New York Giants, the 6-foot-2, 244-pound Kehl started two of 16 games as a rookie, posting 35 tackles, one sack and one interception. In the 43 games since, the last 28 spent with the St. Louis Rams, Kehl has 75 tackles.

Kehl, who worked out for the Miami Dolphins on April 10 and Chicago Bears on April 18, adds depth at inside linebacker for the Redskins and would be expected to be a key contributor on special teams. Kehl has played in over 55 percent of his team's special teams snaps in each of the last four seasons and has made 34 of his 110 career tackles in that phase of the game.
