The Miami Dolphins have signed free agent wide receiver Legedu Naanee to a one-year contract, David Canter, Naanee's agent, announced on Twitter.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
A 2007 fifth round pick out of Boise State by the San Diego Chargers, Naanee has 107 receptions for 1,213 yards and four touchdowns during his 69-game career. Naanee spent last season with the Carolina Panthers, establishing career-highs with 10 starts, 44 receptions and 467 receiving yards.
Naanee suffered a foot injury in December and had been unable to work out for teams until Monday, when he worked out for the Dolphins.
At 6-foot-2 and 226 pounds, Naanee gives the Dolphins size at the receiver position that was lost when Brandon Marshall was traded to the Chicago Bears for a pair of third round draft picks.
