Nine Restricted Free Agents Remain Available To Sign Offer Sheets

San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker Larry Grant officially signed his restricted free agent tender on Tuesday morning, bringing the remaining number of available restricted free agents this off-season from 41 on March 13 to 10 nine on April 17.

Restricted free agents have until 11:59pm ET on Friday night to sign an offer sheet with another club.

Five weeks into the restricted free agent signing period, only two restricted free agents have made free agent visits to other clubs.

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Dan Skuta visited the Kansas City Chiefs on March 26, but did not receive a contract offer and has since signed his one-year tender (Right of First Refusal level) to return to the Bengals. New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Casillas visited the Tennessee Titans on April 9. Casillas has yet to sign his one-year tender -- which carries only the right of first refusal -- and after the free agent investments the Saints have made at the linebacker position, represents the best chance of a restricted free agent to change clubs via an offer sheet this off-season.

Only one restricted free agent, Baltimore Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb, has signed a multi-year extension, the same number of restricted free agents that will have his tender rescinded, which is expected to happen to Denver Broncos defensive tackle Ryan McBean this week.
