Rams Sign OL Robert Turner

The St. Louis Rams have signed free agent offensive lineman Robert Turner, a league source confirmed on Friday night.

Terms were not disclosed.

Signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico in 2007, Turner has started two of 41 games with Gang Green over the last four-plus seasons. Turner suffered a broken fibula during last year's preseason and was placed on injured reserve in September.

First-year Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer served in the same capacity with the Jets throughout Turner's career. The 6-foot-4, 308-pound Turner has the ability to play all three interior line spots and had a tryout with the Rams on March 23.
