Cardinals Released OL Rex Hadnot

The Arizona Cardinals have released veteran offensive lineman Rex Hadnot, a league source confirmed on Sunday.

The transaction occurred on Saturday and was first noticed by Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Hadnot, 30, was a 2004 sixth-round pick out of Houston by the Miami Dolphins who has started 93 of 114 games in an eight-year career that has also included a two-year stint with the Cleveland Browns.

Signed to a three-year contract by the Cardinals in 2010, Hadnot was due to make a $1.5 million base salary with a $150,000 workout bonus. His release trims $1.65 million off the Cardinals' salary cap this season.
