Bengals Agree To Terms With S Reggie Nelson

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms on a contract with free agent safety Reggie Nelson.

Those terms were not disclosed.

Nelson, 28, was a 2007 first-round pick out of Florida by the Jacksonville Jaguars who began his NFL career by posting 63 tackles, a sack and five interceptions as a rookie. Nelson's production tailed off the next two seasons and he was traded to the Bengals before the start of the 2010 season.

In two seasons with the Bengals, Nelson has started 22 of 32 games, totaling 139 tackles, two sacks and six interceptions, most of which coming in 2011 when he intercepted four passes, returning one 75 yards for a touchdown.
