The New Orleans Saints will play in the 2012 Hall of Fame Game, Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune reports.
Earlier on Thursday, Alex Marvez reported that the Saints had volunteered to play in the game, which is scheduled for August 5, 2012 against a yet-to-be-named opponent.
Left tackle Willie Roaf spent the first nine years of his career with the Saints and will be inducted as part of the Hall of Fame's Class of 2012 on August 4.
