The Oakland Raiders will hire Steve Hoffman to coach their special teams units, Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com reports.
Hoffman replaces John Fassel, who left to take the same position with the St. Louis Rams.
A 22-year coaching veteran, Hoffman spent 16 seasons (1989-2004) with the Dallas Cowboys before stints with the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins. Hoffman has spent the last three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, but his contract was renewed as the Chiefs hired Tom McMahon to replace hm.
