Jets Re-Sign WR Patrick Turner

The New York Jets have re-signed wide receiver Patrick Turner to a one-year deal, a league source confirmed on Tuesday.

Turner was scheduled to be a restricted free agent in 2012. As part of his new contract, Turner received a $250,000 signing bonus and is scheduled to earn a $615,000 base salary.

A third-round pick out of USC by the Miami Dolphins in 2009, Turner appeared in two games as a rookie and was waived and claimed by the Jets before the start of the 2010 season. Turner was on and off the Jets' practice squad last season, catching two passes for 26 yards in five games.

In 15 games in 2011, including one start, Turner caught eight passes for 96 yards and a touchdown.
