Tennessee Titans 2012 Free Agency Overview

The Tennessee Titans finished the 2011 season with 40 players under contract for 2012. They've added to that by signing a league-high 15 players to "Reserve/Futures" contracts. Tight end Craig Stevens was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent, but he was signed to a four-year extension.

Cornerback Cortland Finnegan and safety Michael Griffin headline a list of 17 unrestricted free agents.

Seventeen Titans are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents.

For cap purposes you sign 6 or 7 of those guys and let the rest walk. (Shaw, Bailey, Amato, Babineaux, Ball, Smith)-depth, special teams, and 1 potential starter. Building through the draft is what needs to continue to be a strong emphasis with this team. 1st year head coach Mike Munchak had a pretty solid first year draft. Let's see if he can keep the ball rolling with the 2012 draft and continue to build a solid team for the years to come.
