Retained for another season, San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith has 49 players under contract, two exclusive rights free agents and two restricted free agents.
Smith will also have to make a decision on wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who was franchised last season to the tune of $11.424 million in base salary. To do so again would cost $13.709 million in base salary in 2012.
