Seahawks G John Moffitt Suspended Four Games

Seattle Seahawks rookie guard John Moffitt has been suspended four games for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing drugs, Tim Booth of The Associated Press reports.

Moffitt started the first nine games of the season at right guard for the Seahawks, but is currently on injured reserve after undergoing surgery to repair a right knee injury. Moffitt will serve out the suspension over the remainder of the regular season.

A third-round pick out of Wisconsin, Moffitt is earning the league minimum $375,000 base salary. His four-game suspension, which multiple reports out of Seattle state was due to a medication to treat hyperactivity that wasn't preapproved by the NFL, will cost him 4/17ths of that salary, or $88,235.
