The Baltimore Ravens announced that they have signed rookie outside linebacker Chavis Williams off their practice squad.
Signed as an undrafted free agent out of Alabamaa, Williams had five tackles, including two on special teams, during the preseason before he was waived and signed to the Ravens practice squad in September.
To make room for Williams, crnerback/return specialist Bryan McCann was placed on waivers. Signed in early October, McCann averaged 26.5 yards on a pair of kick returns and had a special teams tackle in three games.
The Ravens are going to be without linebacker Dannell Ellerbe on Sunday night.
