New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has been named the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Week, the team announced on Wednesday.
Edelman had a 72-yard punt return for a touchdown in the Patriots' 34-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. For the season, Edelman is averaging 12.9 yards on 17 punt returns with the one touchdown, and is averaging 23.6 yards on 10 kick returns.
