The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they have placed cornerback Derek Cox on injured reserve with a knee injury.
A 2009 third-round pick out of William & Mary, Cox missed four of the first six weeks of the season had 22 tackles and two passes defensed. Cox had eight career interceptions in 27 starts over his first two seasons in the NFL.
Replacing Cox on the 53-man roster is quarterback Dan LeFevour, who they've signed off the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad. A 2010 sixth-round pick by the Chicago Bears, LeFevour spent his rookie season as the No. 3 quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Waived by the Bengals in September, LeFevour joined the Colts' practice squad earlier this month. LeFevour worked out for the Jaguars on October 31.
