Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has been named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month for October, the team announced.
Dalton completed 82-of-130 pass attempts (63 percent) for 909 yards with six touchdowns and five interceptions, an 83.1 passer rating, as the Bengals went 4-0 during the month of October, picking up wins over the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks.
Those opponents have a combined record of 9-21.
Selected with the 35th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, the former TCU standout has completed 62.4 percent of his 218 pass attempts for 1,479 yards with nine touchdowns and seven interceptions this season. Dalton also has 22 rushing yards and used his legs to get into the end zone in the Bengals' 23-20 win over the Bills in Week 4.
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton won the award in September.
