Cowboys Waive WR Dwayne Harris

The Dallas Cowboys have placed rookie wide receiver Dwayne Harris on waivers, Nick Eatman of the team's official website reports.

A sixth-round pick out of East Carolina, Harris has been active for all five of the Cowboys games this season, returning punts and kicks. Harris has averaged 6.6 yards on 11 punt returns with a long of 14 yards, and has returned three kicks for 74 yards with a long of 32 yards.

The Cowboys are expected to get 2011 second-round linebacker Bruce Carter back at practice this week. On the non-football injury list since the start of the season, a roster spot will need to be cleared for Carter to play on Sunday.
