Former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens is facing felony assault charges, Ileana Morales of the St. Petersburg Times reports.
Details of Thursday night's arrest are unknown, but Stevens has apparently posted $2,500 bail and been released from custody.
Stevens was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last October an arrest for felony possession of marijuana. Intent to distribute charges were not filed against Stevens, who in late January, entered into a pre-trial conference to avoid felony charges altogether.
How Stevens' latest arrest affects those efforts is unclear, but the oft-handcuffed former first-round pick out of the University of Washington by the Seattle Seahawks is likely facing an uphill climb to get back in to the National Football League.
