The Seattle Seahawks have placed rookie defensive end Clifton Geathers on waivers, a league source said on Tuesday night.
Geathers (6-7, 300) had been claimed off waivers from the Miami Dolphins on November 26, and was inactive for both of the games he was on the Seahawks' 53-man roster.
A sixth-round pick (186th overall) out of the University of South Carolina by the Cleveland Browns, Geathers has spent most of his rookie season shuttling between the Miami Dolphins' 53-man roster and practice squad, appearing in one game earlier this season.
Speaking of the Dolphins, they worked out former Seahawks guard Allen Barbre and wide receiver Patrick Carter on Tuesday, Mike Berardino of the Sun-Sentinel reports.

Any guess as to what the correlating move will be (with regards to the Hawks and Geathers)?
I'm wondering the same thing...
