For the second consecutive week, the Oakland Raiders have signed rookie safety Stevie Brown off their practice squad.
And for the second consecutive week, veteran offensive tackle Erik Pears has been released.
Brown, a 2010 seventh-round pick out of Michigan, was credited with a special teams tackle during last Sunday's win over the St. Louis Rams. The 5-11, 211-pound safety was waived when Pears was re-signed on Tuesday, and re-signed to the practice squad on Thursday.
