The Cleveland Browns have claimed nose tackle Travis Ivey off waivers from the Miami Dolphins, a league source said.
Ivey fills the roster spot vacated when 28-year old rookie nose tackle Kwaku Danso was "waived/injured" on Tuesday.
An undrafted free agent out of Maryland, the 6-4, 341-pound Ivey started 16 of his 32 games for the Terrapins, totaling 54 tackles, including six for a loss and a pair of quarterback sacks.
Ivey adds depth to the nose tackle position that has Ahtyba Rubin at the top while Shaun Rogers remains on the PUP list. Ivey also experience transporting equipment.
