ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Tennessee Titans have reached agreement on a five-year contract with first-round defensive end Derrick Morgan.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
During his three seasons at Georgia Tech, Morgan totaled 115 tackles, including 29.5 for a loss and 19.5 quarterback sacks. Morgan added six fumble recoveries and five passes defensed during his college career.
An honorable mention All-ACC selection as a sophomore, Morgan earned first-team honors in 2009, and was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year after his 12 ½ quarterback sack season.
The 6-3, 266-pound Morgan has been slowed by hamstring and calf injuries during the OTAs, but is expected to make an immediate contribution as a pass-rusher for the Titans this season.
