Police in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania have issued a release stating that, contrary to previous reports, New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes was not escorted by police after a Newark-to-Pittsburgh landed at Pittsburgh International Airport.
"As previously reported, Santanio Holmes was not removed from any airplane (4/29/2010). He was asked to remove his Ipod (at one point), in which he complied. There's no further information to report."
So as Jets head coach Rex Ryan said earlier on Friday, this issue has been blown way out of proportion.
