The Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent long-snapper Matt Overton, his agent, David Canter, announced via Twitter.
Overton was on the Seahawks' off-season roster in 2007 before spending two seasons with the Tri-Cities Fever of the Indoor Football League. Overton spent last Fall with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League.
With veterans Kevin Houser and Jeff Robinson's contracts expiring, Overton becomes the only long-snapper on the Seahawks' roster. (It's a two-year deal at the minimum salaries - $320,000 for 2010 and $405,000 for 2011.)
The 24-year old Tracy, California native was a defensive lineman at Western Washington University.
