FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reports that the Washington Redskins are interviewing former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski for their strength and conditioning coach position.
Romanowski spent 16 seasons in the NFL , making two trips to the Pro Bowl and playing in NFL-record 243 consecutive games. Romanowski, a former Boston College standout, earned four Super Bowl rings in five tries during stints with the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, and Oakland Raiders.
He also spent two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Of course, Romanowski is most-known for his involvement in the BALCO scandal, and has admitted to using steroids and HGH throughout his NFL career. He was also sued for punching then-Raiders teammate Marcus Williams, damaging Williams' eye socket to the point where he was forced to retire.
Prior to that, Romanowski drew several fines for questionable hits and unsportsmanlike conduct on the field.
Romanowski's only known coaching experience was a defensive coordinator for his son's high school football team, but he did express interest in the Broncos' head coaching job during their search for a replacement after firing Mike Shanahan.
