Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Johnny Jolly has been indicted on drug charges for a second time by a Harris County (Texas) grand jury, Andy Nelesen of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
Jolly was arrested on July 8, 2008 and charged with possession of codeine in the form of cough syrup. A grand jury originally indicted him last October, but the charges were dropped based on the Houston P.D. crime lab's ability to measure the amount of codeine in evidence.
According to Nelesen, new testing equipment allowed the police to get an accurate measurement, which allowed the district attorney to proceed with the case.
Jolly is expected to turn himself him to authorities, though when that's to occur has not been determined. If convicted, the 26-year old Jolly faces anywhere from probation to 20 years in prison.
