Browns Claim CB Ramzee Robinson Off Waivers

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Cleveland Browns were awarded cornerback Ramzee Robinson off waivers.

Robinson was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday after appearing in three games, making three special teams tackles.

Robinson had spent the first two years of his career with the Detroit Lions, who made him "Mr. Irrelevant" of the 2007 NFL Draft. He appeared in 19 games for the Lions, totaling 31 tackles and a pass defended. The Lions cut Robinson at the end of the 2009 training camp.

The Browns, who placed safety Brodney Pool on injured reserve, assume Robinson's contract, which pays him $460,000 in 2009 (prorated value = $135,294), $545,000 in 2010, and $640,000 in 2011.
