Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White (knee) will play today against the Washington Redskins.
White was listed as "Questionable" on the team's Friday injury report after injuring his knee during the Falcons' 35-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. White caught four passes for 108 yards, including a 68-yard touchdown and has 37 receptions, 543 yards and 6 touchdowns this season.
In other "wide receivers in the NFC South" news, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Bryant is not expected to play today against Green Bay. His knee reportedly experienced some swelling, which Bryant attributes to the team's long flight back to Tampa from London, where they played the New England Patriots two weeks ago.
Buccaneers first-round quarterback Josh Freeman is making his first NFL start today, and with Bryant out, it might be wise to sit Bryant. If you're desperate to start a Buccaneers receiver in your fantasy league, Sammie Stroughter might be your guy. He has the same number of receptions this season as Bryant, but was targeted 8 times during the Bucs' loss to New England. He and Freeman may have a rookie connection that could lead to more opportunities this afternoon.
