Redskins' Gray Lands Memphis Head Coaching Job

Washington Redskins secondary coach Jerry Gray will be named the next head football coach at the University of Memphis, ESPN.com's Joe Schad reports.

Gray interviewed earlier this week, and the decision has been reportedly been made to hire him.

ESPN.com's NFC East blogger Matt Moseley thinks Redskins owner Daniel Snyder will likely allow Gray, a highly-respected coach in the NFL, out of his contract early so that he can get a head-start on the recruiting trail.
