To replace Brian Brohm, who passed on a two-year deal to join their active roster and instead signed a two-year deal to join the Buffalo Bills, the Green Bay Packers have signed undrafted rookie quarterback Mike Reilly to their practice squad.
Reilly (6-3, 212) began his college career at Washington State, but transferred to Division II Central Washington, where he was the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2008. Reilly set school records for completions (995), yards (12,448), touchdowns (118), and completion percentage (64.1%), among others, and set an NCAA record with a touchdown pass in all of his 46 games.
Undrafted in April, Reilly signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he completed 10-of-15 passes for 117 yards during the 2009 pre-season. Reilly was released, and had been making the rounds, working out for various teams this fall, including the Seattle Seahawks.
