Colts' Sanders to Miss Rest of Season

ESPN is reporting that Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders has a torn biceps tendon and will miss the remainder of the season.

Sanders missed the first five games of the Colts' season, returning in Week 7 and starting their last two games, making three tackles and intercepting a pass in last week's 18-14 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

A former second round pick from Iowa, Sanders is a two-time Pro Bowler who was the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 2007, a season which earned him $37.5 million dollar contract that included $20 million dollars in guarantees.

This will be the fourth season of Sanders' career where he failed to play in at least half of his team's games. He was limited to six games in 2004 (foot, knee), four games in 2006 (knee), and played six games last season after dealing with ankle and knee injuries.
