Dolphins Sign 4th Round WR Brian Hartline

A league source has confirmed that the Miami Dolphins have signed fourth-round wide receiver Brian Hartline.

While financial terms were not disclosed, through playing time and team performance incentives, the four-year deal could be worth nearly $4 million dollars.

The former Ohio State University standout took over a starting job in 2007 and finished the season with 52 receptions for 694 yards and 6 touchdowns. A change to a run-first quarterback last season resulted in a significant drop in Hartline's production. Having already earned an undergraduate degree, Hartline opted for the NFL after his redshirt-junior season.

During his career with the Buckeyes, the North Canton, Ohio-native posted 90 receptions for 1,429 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Hartline is the fifth of the Dolphins' nine draft choices to sign a contract.
