The Houston Texans top priority this off-season was to improve their pass rush, and they hope to have taken a step in that direction by signing free agent defensive end Antonio Smith to a five-year, $35 million dollar contract.
Smith, 27, has spent all five years of his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals, starting 10 games during their Super Bowl run in 2008. In 62 career games, including 39 starts, Smith has 125 career tackles and 14.5 sacks.
Of the $35 million in Smith's contract, $12.5 million is guaranteed.
