Two Charged in Attempted Burglary of Noah Herron's Home

Last month, Green Bay Packers running back Noah Herron was upstairs in the bedroom of his Howard, Wisconsin home when he heard his doorbell ring twice. Herron wasn't expecting anyone, so he ignored it.

Herron heard someone on his deck, so he called the police. Then he heard glass break, and he called police again. When Herron heard someone walking up his stairs, he armed himself with a bed post and hid behind a door.

One man entered Herron's bedroom and pocketed some cash before calling downstairs to his accomplice. When the second man entered Herron's bedroom, the running back used the bedpost to strike the intruder twice in the head.

Yesterday, the two men, 31-year old Yeshua Tate and 20-year old Joel Mullin-Romo, were charged with two counts of being party to burglary.

A key in Tate's pocket was to a nearby SUV, which contained three flat-screen televisions from a nearby home. If convicted, Tate faces 25 years in prison.
