Atlanta Trades Up, Drafts USC T Sam Baker

With three second-round picks in their arsenal, the Atlanta Falcons traded up with the Washington Redskins and selected USC tackle Sam Baker.

Baker is a versatile offensive lineman. He could eventually play left tackle, but could play on the right side and both guard positions, if need be.

Baker was viewed to be a Top 10 pick had he entered the draft in 2007, but opted to stay in school. That decision was thought to be a costly one for Baker, who was projected by most mock drafts to go in the second round.
